To-Do Tuesday #22

Another week with fires, doctors appointments, Guild Meetings and all day power outages. Such a fun, busy week I’ve had!

My list for last weeks To-Do Tuesday was (I thought) completely doable! Boy was I wrong. 😢

Here it is complete with updates:

1. Finish the pattern test quilt to flimsy stage. Done!

Can’t wait until I can share this one!

2. Finish Star Kissed QAL to flimsy stage. Nope

3. Finish pattern writing for Boxed. Nope

4. Finish scrappy quilt borders. Nope

5. Plan blog hop projects for September and October. Planned and 1 is almost finished!

Due to some emails and new commitments my list is going to be readjusted for this week.

1. Finish cutting and start sewing 3 new pattern test projects.

2. Complete my Blog posts for 2 September Blog Hops and get the binding on the second hop project.

3. Cut fabrics and sew my project for the October Blog Hop Project.

4. Start designing a quilt for a very special granddaughter. She actually has picked colours and made design requests for this quilt.

These are the fabrics my granddaughter picked.

Do I expect to get this list completed? Not likely! I’m teaching at my Guild (6 people max, social distancing and masks are worn at all times) and have 3 trips to town for DH’s physio and doctor appointments.

I’ll be linking with Roseanne and Sue at

Stop over there and check to see what everyone else is planning on doing this week! 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Good morning Carol! Wow, those fabrics you picked for your next quilt for your granddaughter is just gorgeous! I can hardly wait to see what pattern you’ve chosen. Two blog hops – I’ll be reading. Good luck with the teaching at your guild and thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Hi Roseanne Aren’t the fabrics beautiful? My granddaughter and I collaborated on designing this quilt which makes it really special in my eyes 😉 Now I’m off to take DH to his doctors appointment and then off to the Guild for the day. Fun times. Thank you for hosting the Linky party that helps keep me accountable and moving projects forward 😁 Carol

  2. Oh, my goodness, Carol — you are such a TEASE with that scrunched-up quilt top photo!!! What I can see of it is tantalizing, that glorious print and the fabrics you’ve paired it with. Can’t wait to see it. Have fun with your granddaughter’s quilt and all of the other projects on your plate.

Also, gotta admit that one of the best and most surprising benefits of linking up with To Do Tuesday each week is seeing that I am not alone when life gets in the way and my best-laid plans are derailed. Thanks for keeping it real!
