Last Week’s List:

1. Spend some more time cleaning out the scrap bins. I’m down to 3 baggies of scraps!

2. Send photos and do write ups for pattern tests. Done!

3. Keep working on Sarah’s pattern test. Some progress!

4. Have fun with quilting and binding the pattern test flimsy. Still waiting for my longarm delivery date.

5. Finish the little Christmas table topper. Putting the binding on!

6. Keep knitting my shawl. Some progress!

I love how the fade is starting to show now 🥰

7. Finish sewing my project for the Hearts on Fire Blog Hop. Done and the blog post is written.

This Week’s Goals:

1. Keep working on emptying the scrap bin.

2. Finish the test pattern to flimsy.

3. Finish the table topper binding.

4. Have patience while waiting for my long arm delivery to be rescheduled.

5. Keep knitting my shawl.

6. Start working on the new blocks to finish Delaney’s Quilt Waltzing with Bears (pattern by Sandra Walker which you can read about HERE.

7. Enjoy every photo of my newest great granddaughter, Grace Charlie who was born on January 8, 2021, a sweet little sister for Levi and Clarke.

8. Keep up with any squirrels or requests for pattern testing that come up.

Stitching Time:

I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day, but also want to at least spend 15 minutes tidying up writing posts, planning projects and dealing with scraps.

  • Previous time – January – 3 / 3
  • This week – January 4-10 – 7/7
  • Year To Date – 10/10

Gail at Quilting Gail created and hosts the PHD in 2021 to keep us finishing those UFOS.

I did not have any luck working on my UFOs but this week I have pulled out Waltzing with Bears to start piecing the next borders which I finalized the design for the finishing blocks. 🤔

Thank you for reading my post. Do stop over to the blogs I’ve linked with to see what everyone else is working on, how their goals are proceeding and what they are planning next. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

    1. Hi Wendy. Grace is actually a great granddaughter. Can you believe I have grandkids old enough to have littles of their own 😉 I’m so happy to be getting near the end of my bin! Strings are sorted and ever so many squares and hats pre cut! I love playing with scraps 😁

  2. You have been busy!!! How in the world can you only have 3 bags of scraps left???? I just might have to fix that … if we happen to drive through your town next summer / fall … 🙂

Your newest great granddaughter is a sweety!! Keep enjoying her pictures! One day you’ll be able to hold and cuddle her in person!
    Happy Quilting! 🙂

    1. Hi Gail. I think I might be getting my sewjo back. 🤔 I think Grace is a little darling. She looks exactly the same as Clarke when I first held her at 3 days. I’m hoping to meet her next fall maybe?!?
Scraps for me! Woo Hoo! 😉

  3. Congratulations on your newest great-grand! What fun! I’m impressed that you’re whittling down all your scrap bags, too. That is always an ongoing project!

  4. Hi Carol! Lots and lots of goodness in this post . . . but come on . . . those baby shots are just the BEST ever. Grace looks so cute – I just want to scoop her up. Levi and Clarke are getting so big! What are their ages? Yippee for being down to only three baggies of scraps. Are the pink blocks for RSC? They all look interesting – one might be a wonky log cabin? Thanks so much for linking up toady! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Thank you Sherrie. Isn’t she a beauty. I’m lucky her Mom sends me lots of photos of her big sister Clarke. They don’t live close so it will likely be fall or next winter before I get to hug or cuddle them. Stay well 😁
